Late Fall Session

I was able to capture some shots of my sweet, spunky, goofy daughter before the final leaves blew away this fall. I can’t believe she is already 6… she’s growing up way too fast!

Schalk family (Dexter Tree Farm Session)

I had so much fun photographing the Schalk family at Westman Tree Farm last month. Like many dads, Todd wasn’t too keen on getting photos taken, so I made it my mission to make their session as fun and relaxed as possible.

Callie, their golden doodle, wasn’t quite ready to join in the fun, so we started off with some simple family poses.

Aidan and his dad tossed the football around during breaks. Aidan is really into football right now so it was important for me to capture shots of him throwing and catching the football. Go Wolverines!

It was a brisk day, so after being outside a while, it was time to get cozy with a blanket. We threw in some mugs for fun :-) I’ve known Amy and Todd for years and the “Naughty“ and “Nice“ mugs fit their personalities perfectly.

I love that we were able to include Callie in the family photos. She was a little nervous/excited at first, but she was fine once Todd carried her in his arms. You can just feel the love in this beautiful family.

We ended the session with the family snuggled up on a blanket as Aidan read a “Night Before Christmas” aloud.

Ranoni family (Dexter Tree Farm Session)

I had the pleasure of shooting the Ranoni family session at Westman Tree Farm in Dexter, Michigan this past weekend. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this beautiful family since Casen was 3 months old.

I love family sessions because capturing family moments like these are meaningful to the parents, but also to the children (especially when they get older).
